Adnan Ali is an Associate lawyer at Waugh and Co. He maintains a solicitor’s practice that includes real estate, corporate/commercial, and estate planning and administration.
Adnan obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law. While at law school, Adnan volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and was an Editor for the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues. He also volunteered with the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers and lobbied members of Parliament in Ottawa on important immigration matters that affect refugee claimants in Canada. After his first year, Adnan completed a summer research assistant position, analyzing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the bail system in Canada.
Prior to law school, Adnan received an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology (with Distinction) from Ryerson University and was recognized on the Dean’s List for his academic achievements.
Adnan speaks Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi and would be happy to communicate with clients in those languages.
Before joining Waugh & Co. in 2023, Adnan completed his articles at the Regional Municipality of Halton where he worked on a variety of both transactional and litigation matters.
Outside of work, Adnan is an avid sports fan who enjoys playing basketball and traveling.
